Increase Parking Restrictions in CPZ MM Opposite Acton Mainline Station to cover the whole day and weekends

We the undersigned petition the council to carry out all necessary steps required to agree and implement an increase in parking restrictions for the current CPZ MM area, with a view to increasing resident only parking times to cover the whole day inlcuding weekends.

Acton has experienced significant changes in recent years, with numerous large scale new residential developments being opened, the full opening of the Elizabeth line, and therefore an influx of residents into the area. While these changes bring benefits to our community, they have also resulted in a severe strain on available parking spaces for residents. As a result, many residents find themselves struggling daily to secure a parking space, which particularly affects those with young families or mobility challenges.

The current CPZ regulations were implemented several years ago and no longer adequately cater to the needs of our growing population. Parking for non-residents is currently only restricted and monitored for 2 hours per day Monday to Friday, which is severely short of what is required in an area that is now providing a major transport link to the West End, London business districts (City, Canary Wharf), Heathrow airport, and a number of other key locations. Other areas surrounding major stations in the Ealing borough rightly have heightened levels of parking control. The same is required in the Acton Mainline area. It is crucial that we reassess these restrictions based on accurate data, current feedback from affected individuals, and action the necessary changes.
